DCON Talent Show is a tradition at DCON where the schools and exhibition acts perform at the end of the last night, besides the after party festivities. UC Irvine, one of the schools in Magic Kingdom, got the chance to come up with acts to perform as a school. It was a one of a kind experience we get to take away forever. Performing on that stage wasn’t the best part of the whole experience, though. The journey to make it possible was the best experience.

I remember spending countless hours staying on campus extremely late for weeks that turned to months of practicing the DCON Talent Act. Whether it was practicing everyday Monday-Fridays 9-11pm, building and making props for 10 straight hours, or pulling many all-nighters to make this happen, the amount of time and dedication the members produced and poured into this beautiful piece was inspiring. It all came together the day of the talent act on March 19 and we had the time of our life. As DCON Talent Act is finally over, everyone within the talent act agreed to one thing that they took away from this experience: the memories.

Memories were created in this journey. Whether it is going cardboard hunting all around campus, watching old movies like High School Musical while we make props, seeing umbrellas flip upside down when we practice the umbrella routine, or just laughing at every moments we take, those memories are worth more than any piece of paper. It is those memories that define many general members’ Circle K moments.
This journey wasn't an easy one with just a straight path. We had many unexpected pitfalls and encountered many forks on the road. However, after all the tears and stress, there is happiness and love that we get to experience and feel together as a family. In the end, looking back, I would do this all over again with this group of dedicated members that we call ourselves, the UCI CKI DCON Talent Act Committee.
